Tranquil Living in Bell Canyon
Nestled behind its private gates, Bell Canyon offers residents the peaceful charm of country living while maintaining the conveniences of Los Angeles. Bell Canyon, like many upscale communities in Calabasas, boasts a rich history rooted in early California. The area is characterized by its rugged, boulder-capped hills, ridges adorned with ancient oak trees and the lush green corridors of Bell Canyon Creek. Surrounded by thousands of acres of nationally protected parkland, Bell Canyon offers a unique blend of natural beauty and modern living.
Architectural Heritage
Renowned architect Cliff May designed Bell Canyon, infusing his vision with the essence of California's heritage while embracing modernity. His designs emphasized seamless indoor-outdoor living, perfectly suited to Southern California's temperate climate. May also designed the community buildings and the Equestrian Center, thoughtfully positioning roads and homes to minimize impact on the natural landscape.

Equestrian Excellence

Riders can also enjoy miles of scenic chaparral trails.
Community Safety
The Bell Canyon Volunteer Wildland Fire Department (BCVWFD) was established in October 2020 following the Woolsey Fire, which devastated many homes in the area. The BCVWFD’s primary mission is to protect residents and property by supporting local fire agencies. Members are certified wildland firefighters trained by the California Office of the State Fire Marshal. While not a replacement for 911 emergency services, the BCVWFD provides specific, limited emergency and medical services, including search and rescue.
